The House of Welcome is one of three parts of St Francis Social Services, located in Paddington. It offers a wide program that in particular caters for refugees coming into Australia.

"House of welcome is a non profit organisation that is based off St Francis life’s doing. House of welcome provides shelter for people in need regardless of their age, gender, sexuality, nationality or religion. The organisation provides client-centred holistic supports that nurture hope, advocate for justice and promote self-reliance, whilst acknowledging the dignity and the rights of each individual." - House of Welcome, Paddington

“I was so happy to meet with the people from HoW. They are the first nice Australians who treated me as a human being with respect and honour.” - Burmese woman seeking asylum in Australia

The organization's purpose is to uphold the dignity of each person by providing support and advocacy to empower the most disadvantaged people in communities. House of welcomes values install what their organisation is about (Welcome, Respect ,connect and Empower) As the organisation is about welcoming all walks of people with open arms and treating each and every person with the respect they deserve, the organisation also empowers the people who come into house of welcome as they enter the house with nothing mentally and materially and leave with more than a stable life but empowered in themselves.
